Qwkroute
Cookie Policy
- Last updated

- Applies to
- qwkroute.com and the Qwkroute mobile apps
This policy describes the cookies, local storage entries, and similar technologies that Qwkroute uses. It is a companion document to our Privacy Policy. If anything on this page is unclear, contact us at qwkroute@gmail.com.
For simplicity, the word "cookie" in this document refers to both traditional HTTP cookies and to browser local storage entries, since both are used by modern web applications to persist small amounts of data across page loads. Where the distinction matters, it is called out explicitly.
What Qwkroute stores in your browser
Qwkroute's footprint is minimal. The complete list of items we write to your browser is below.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
| access_token | localStorage | Authenticates your browser to the Qwkroute API during a logged-in session | Until you log out or the session expires (typically 1 hour) |
| refresh_token | localStorage | Lets the app issue a new access_token without asking you to sign in again | Until you log out or it is rotated on refresh |
| qwkroute_cookie_consent | localStorage | Remembers that you acknowledged the cookie banner so it is not shown on every visit | Persists until you clear your browser storage |
| timerStore | localStorage | Preserves the active shift timer (start time and parsed orders) across page reloads | Cleared when you end the shift |
None of the items above are transmitted to any third party. They are stored in your browser and read only by the Qwkroute application.
Third-party cookies
Qwkroute does not set third-party cookies. However, two integrations may set their own cookies on their own pages:
- Stripe Checkout. If you start a subscription, Stripe's hosted checkout page may set cookies for fraud prevention and session management. Those cookies are governed by Stripe's privacy notice.
- Mapbox. When a map tile is loaded, Mapbox may use its own technologies to protect against abuse of its tile API. See Mapbox's privacy statement.
What Qwkroute does not do
- No analytics cookies. We do not integrate with Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Segment, PostHog, Amplitude, Hotjar, or any comparable analytics service.
- No advertising cookies. We do not show advertisements and we do not set cookies for advertising networks such as Google Ads, Meta, or The Trade Desk.
- No cross-site tracking. We do not participate in any network that tracks you across other websites.
- No fingerprinting. We do not collect canvas, font, WebGL, or other browser fingerprints.
- No session replay. We do not record your clicks, keystrokes, or screen.
How to control cookies
You can clear the items listed in Section 01 at any time through your browser's settings. Clearing the two authentication tokens will log you out of Qwkroute; you can sign in again to create fresh ones.
To delete third-party cookies set by Stripe or Mapbox, use your browser's storage or privacy settings, or the cookie management features provided by those services.
Because Qwkroute sets no advertising or analytics cookies, browser-level "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signals do not change our behavior. We act as if that signal were always on.
Changes to this policy
If we add a new cookie or local storage entry that processes personal information, this policy will be updated before the change takes effect and the "Last updated" date at the top will change.
